This is one of the most important annual Statistical bulletins issued by CDS. The first issue was published in 1385 (1965), and contained Statistical data for the various activities of the government and non-government agencies in the kingdom. The statistical yearbook is considered the main reference for the researchers and those undertaking the planned future policies for the various sectors in the kingdom.

CDSI depends in preparing the Yearbook chapters on Two basic sources:-

1 – Results of surveys and field studies conducted by CDSI.

2- Statistical data coming to CDSI from the statistical Departments in the various government agencies.

The first issue included 9 chapters, each of which contains detailed data available at CDSI. These chapters are: (Weather Conditions, Education, Health, Social Services, Agriculture, petroleum, Transportation, Communications, Trade, Industry and Finance) CDSI updates these data continuously up to the latest issue No 44. This issue included 15 chapters (Weather Conditions, Population & Housing, Education & Training, Health, Social Services, Social insurance, Prices and Price Indexes, Social Insurance, Transportation & & Communication, Energy & Water, Labor Market, Prices & Indeces, Financial & Mony Affairs and National Accounts, Industry, Agriculture & Fishing, Trade (Domistic & Foreign) and  Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). CDSI hopes that this issue will be up to the highest level by the help of God and then the help of the constructive notes and suggestions it receives from users.
