Foreign Trade Publications :

The Foreign Trade Statistics Department issues publications on the imports and exports movement for Saudi Arabia. These publications used to be issued, during the application of Brussels Tariffs Nomenclature (B.T.N), in one book containing 3000 goods approximately.

In the beginning of the year 1991, the foreign trade statistics Department in CDS started to apply and use the Harmonized system for goods classification and categorization (H.S), at the same time, in which the Customs Authority applied the system to classify, imported or exported goods. The coordinated system includes more than 7000 goods while adding or adjusting any significant goods periodically at the local or international level in coordination with the Saudi Customs Authority and the WCO. The Department also issues independent statistical publications for all the imports and exports of Saudi Arabia, in which tangible goods movement between the Kingdom and various world countries are elaborated by various international classification according to the following: -

First: The imports Bulletin: -

1 – Annual imports Bulletin for the tangible goods movement between the Kingdom and the various countries of the world. It includes the following tables: -

• - Top 10 Trading countries value of exports with 3 major commodities
• - Top 50 imported commodities by value with 3 major Trading countries.
• - National and foreign goods imported to the Kingdom from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries
• - Imports by country group and countries.
• - Imports by main sections.
• - Imports by the Standard International Trade classification (SITC).
• - Imports by Breed Economic Category (BEC).
• - Imports by utilization of items.
• - Imports by nature of items.
• - Imports by major customs.
• - Imports by type of transportation.
• - Imports by chapters and main sections.
• - Imports by commodities and countries.
• - Imports by countries and commodities

Second: The Annual Exports Statistics Bulletin: -

This publication includes several tables showing the Kingdoms exports of national goods and the goods re-exported to various countries of the world during a year as follows: -

• - Kingdom's Imports and exports from and to the GCC countries.
• - The kingdoms exports to the GCC countries.
• - Exports by main sections.
• - Exports by the standard International Trade classification (SITC).
• - Exports by Breed Economic Category (BEC).
